Caring Is Sharing
In America, nearly 11 million children are living in poverty. That’s 1 in 7 kids who make up almost 1/3 of all people living in poverty in this country. Poverty and poor health are inextricably linked. On the surface, poverty is often defined as a lack of income or assets. However, in the day-to-day lives of the very poor, poverty becomes a network of disadvantages, each one exacerbating the others.
One of the tenets of the Poor Peoples Network is generational poverty mitigation. Children growing up in poverty are more likely to make bad choices when attempting to fit in with those kids who are in a better economic environment. Our platform is designed to address families that are especially living in poverty, allowing the chains of generational poverty to be broken. It starts with our Affiliate Services Program and the collective support of the communities we serve.
Collectively, as a group, we can make a difference.
